The watch has a beautiful blue dial tone, love the colour combination with the silver casing. The crystal dome design gives it a much more classy and elegant look. I have been looking for an affordable dress watch for awhile, and definitely loving my decision of getting the prestige automatic.
Good strap, great Miyota movement, gorgeous blue dial and the quick deployment buckle for a leather strap is very handy. Mine is keeping within 2-3 seconds/day without adjustment. Cannot ask for more. Kind of wish they stayed with the Mileneal brand name, though.
This watch is very elegant and well finished. The strap is also pretty decent. Aesthetically I preferred the older style larger indices. Unfortunately the Miyota 9015 is not regulated. Running 90 seconds fast per day on arrival. Some improvement after demagnetising but still 30 plus seconds fast per day.
Really nice looking aesthetically - the blue fume dial is the highlight of the watch for me - I often find myself just gazing at the colour and reflectivity of the dial even if I don’t intend to tell the time! The other highlight is the excellent slim high beat Miyota 9015 automatic movement beating at 8 beats per second. I love the smooth sweep of seconds hands and the accuracy so far has been excellent: between 1-2 seconds a day on wrist which is fantastic for a mechanical watch at this price. Yes I know it’s luck of the draw sometimes with mechanical movements that haven’t been highly regulated but the 9015 is often very accurate straight out of the box. The 40mm size is my ideal for a dress watch and works well for most wrist sizes. In fact the entire case size and shape works perfectly for my slim 6.5 inch wrists. Also because the Miyota movement inside is so slim this makes the watch wear well on wrist because despite the domed crystal the watch is only about 11.5mm thick (I think) .
The finishing is ok but personally i would prefer to have had more polished surfaces on the case. Also the dial is very minimalist and simple. There are no minute markers around the edge of the dial and personally I would have liked the applied markers and hands to be a bit more expensive looking. They look like the cheapest part of then watch - I would have rather paid another £30 or £40 for a really nice set of hands and more 3 dimensional-looking and more multifaceted indices that play with the light better rather than the basic stick hour markers that have been put on the dial but then i really can’t complain considering the excellent price I paid for the watch (£120 on early bird pre order) AND the fact that you get a really nice high beat movement included in the price.
The watch case is really nice. The dial mesmerizing, the hands nice and elegant. The crystal is possibly a bit too tall with the "super dome" and lacks the sheer reflectiveness and transparency of a pure sapphire, but is still very fine. The only real let down is the strap. It's got the bells and whistles but the leather itself is really cheap. Not a massive problem since one can change a strap in a matter of seconds and nice alternatives are easy to find!
